So you're recently engaged, and you have your date, and now you're thinking about wedding colours and decor. Choosing a wedding theme or style can help simplify the process of selection as well as determine some details for you rather quickly. I'm the kind of person who, if I don't have anything particular in mind, will have the worst time choosing something, but when I do, I am very, very specific. Both of these situations can cause stress, but there are ways with dealing with both!

How to choose a Style
This is actually a bit easier than it sounds. By style, I don't mean how the wedding will look per say, but the overall feel of the wedding. This is the starting point that will really narrow down some of your options in the next them, which is choosing a particular theme. Alright, here we go.Level of formality
Know yourself, and know your fiance. This is one you will want to discuss together, because it is a big chunk of the puzzle here. How formal or relaxed do you want your wedding to be? Do keep in mind the following:{Time of year/ Season} - a relaxed summer patio wedding simply won't work when temperature drop, and you may have no option but to book an indoor wedding, however, if you're lucky, chances are there are a range of indoor venues in your city from grande ballrooms to quaint barns. If you're having a destination wedding, consider the weather there.
{Venue Reception} - if you have chosen one already, if not, choosing your level of formality will help narrow down what you will be looking for in a venue, or vice versa. If you are getting married in Mexico and having a beach wedding, it will be less formal than a hotel ballroom.
{Budget} - while it is quite possible to pull of nearly any style and theme of a wedding with any kind of budget, don't get carried away only to become disillusioned later, budget it can be a major player when it comes to flowers and decor, so do keep that in mind.
